Lake Erie Ink a community of writers that helps young aspiring writers to share their talents with the community. I worked on their very first anthology of writings by teens in LEI. Not only was it a great experience reading all the submission but I had two of my pieces selected to be in the book. 

I read Stone Soup every month from when I was 9. Finally, I mustered the nerve to submit my work to them. I was rejected 3 times. Finally when I was 13, the last year I could submit, they accepted one of my. pieces. It was my first paid work - $25. What a thrill.
